Our baby environment is thoughtfully prepared to provide a safe, peaceful, and nurturing space where each child feels secure as they begin to discover the world around them.

During these first years, development happens at an incredible pace. Our carefully prepared environment and Montessori materials support each stage of development, respecting every child’s individual rhythm while fostering movement, independence, concentration, curiosity, and self-confidence. A place where children feel safe to explore, discover, and grow.

A secure and respectful relationship

Our Guides build a close, trusting relationship with each child, getting to know their individual needs, rhythms, and ways of communicating. Predictable routines provide a sense of security, while respecting each child’s natural rhythms for sleeping, feeding, and care. Through consistency, respect, and attentive care, children gradually learn to recognise their own needs and trust that the adult caring for them is there to listen, respond, and support them.

Freedom to move and explore

Movement is an essential part of a baby’s development. Babies need opportunities to stretch, roll, reach, crawl, and gradually discover what their bodies can do. Our prepared environment offers plenty of safe, open space for movement and exploration, allowing children to develop strength, coordination, balance, and independence naturally and at their own pace.

Discovering the joy of language

Language surrounds our babies throughout the day. At Biznaga Montessori, children are immersed in both English and Spanish through songs, stories, conversations, and meaningful interactions. We talk to children about what we are doing, what they are experiencing, and how others may be feeling. By hearing both languages naturally in everyday situations, children begin to connect words with their experiences while developing communication, understanding, and the foundations of empathy.

Growing independence and confidence

From an early age, babies are invited to participate in their own care in simple, meaningful ways. They may help with a nappy change, put their belongings away, wash their hands, or participate in getting ready to go outside.

By giving children time, space, and opportunities to do things for themselves, we communicate our trust in their abilities. Little by little, they discover an important message: “I can do it.”
